mmersed in it's 732 hectares, it's the hereditary of this story of men, of earth and of wine. 70 hectares of splendid vines, exposed to the South, a variety of noble vines, tied to the territory and it's traditions: Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Canaiolo, Trebbiano, San Colombano, Mammolo, Occhio di Pernice. 150 hectares of olive trees, some 23,300 plants which allow us to obtain through the cold-pressing of the moraiole, frantoie and pendoline olives, our Extra-virgin olive oil. The search for maximum quality in wine producing, necessarily passes through innovation, and the
"Fattoria di Artimino", with it's 2,500 square meters of it's new cellars has chosen to fit itself out with advanced technology and modern productive plants. To produce wine of high quality: this is the pledge of the Farm of Artimino. The natural winemaking vocation of it's wonderful lands is proven by the necessity since Etruscan times, of an agricultural settlement, dedicated to the cultivation of vines and olive trees.
It's this territory that's referred to, with the 'Bando del 1716", pronounced by Cosimo III de'Medici which is the first ever legal example of "denominazione di origine", or D.O.C, a foundation for us to now continue. |
