Pian della Bandina is situated at 500 mt o.s.l. in the green Umbrian-Tuscany countryside. It is only 5 km far from the peaceful community of Città della Pieve where are shops, supermarkets and very good local restaurants. The history of this typical Umbrian hill-town within the province of Perugia dates back to Etruscan and Roman times. Città della Pieve is also the birthplace of the painter Pietro Vannucci known as Il Perugino (1450 - 1523), the first teacher of Raffaello.
Pian della Bandina is immersed in more than 100 hectares of woods and countryside landscape bordered by small streams where nature suggests pleasant walkings.
The typical country farmhouses consist of two buildings: Casale Pian della Bandina and the small Il Cotogno that have been carefully restored and divided into 9 apartments combining modern facilities with the characteristic atmosphere of an Umbrian country house.
You can reach Pian della Bandina driving on the S.S. 71 Città della Pieve-Orvieto (till the 73th km) then on a two kilometers nice countrylane crossing woods and fields.
